This is a classic Enid Blyton and my favourite one. It centres around the girl Darrell Rivers and her experiences making friends and a few enemies in her new boarding school. It follows her journey from when she joins Malory Towers to when she graduates. My mother loved these books when she was growing up, so they are really timeless. It is interesting to see that the girls going through high school do not undergo the same changes and experiences as high schoolers do today. Or at least they are not written about. This may be because the author wanted to maintain the innocence of the characters and the readers, or because the book was written at a time where concepts like changing bodies and puberty were not really talked about. If you enjoy Malory Towers, you will also enjoy the Naughtiest Girl in School series by the same author.
