I loved this book. It is a beautiful story about four sisters living during the times of the American Civil War. It narrates the lives of the four sisters- Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. It is a story of their everyday lives and struggles, as well as their bond with each other and their mother. The end of the book is upsetting. It teaches kids about sharing and generosity, to give what you can, even during hard times. The new movie adaptation is also really good and I was very happy with it as Emma Watson is my favourite actor. I would recommend this book for kids 8+.
