^This is the story of a boy named Jesse and his best friend Leslie. Leslie is fearless and strong, while Jesse is an artist, but they start to get along. Soon they become best friends, and Leslie invents Terabithia, an imaginary place for them to escape to. They get to Terabithia by crossing a creek on a rope swing, their bridge. But the things that bring us the most joy are also the ones that hurt us the most, and Jesse is forced to learn that at a young age. This book has a sad ending.
