This is a Newberry Honor Book. It is about a girl named Genesis who finds it hard to fit in. Her father is addicted to gambling and possibly drinking. Her family keeps getting displaced from their house, and Genesis hates the colour of her skin. Genesis keeps a list of reasons she dislikes herself. This is a sad book to read but an important one. I would recommend that everyone over the age of 13 read this book.
