^The first book in this series revolves around two friends- Daisy and Hazel, who have started a secret detective society. When tragedy strikes their boarding school, ~but~ the teachers deny everything, and many secrets are hidden behind closed doors, Hazel and Daisy must uncover the truth behind the murder of their beloved teacher.

This is unlike most detective stories, and the twist at the end is absolutely fabulous! Most other books in the series are also solved with fabulous twists. These books are incredible and hard to put down. This is a great introduction to real murder mysteries for kids. I recently got the latest book in this series called “Ministry of Unladylike Activity”, in which Hazel’s sister is the main detective. I enjoyed the first nine books with Hazel and Daisy as protagonists better than the newer ones.
