Where the Wild Things Are

Maurice Sendak

This is an incredibly funny bedtime story about a stubborn naughty boy named Max. He is sent to bed hungry and in his sleep he decides to go to an island inhabited with “Wild Things”. Eventually becomes their king. After some time Max ends up feeling homesick, realising the importance of family and listening to rules at the end of the book. This is a very nice book for young kids to read. My brother loved reading another book by this author called “Pierre: A Cautionary Tale”, which is about a stubborn boy whose catchphrase is “I don't care”. I think he may have related to the character.
