This is a classic children’s bedtime story. It is about a boy and his friendship with an apple tree. The friendship is very one sided where the tree is the giver and the boy is a demanding receiver. This story is about gratitude and selfishness. It teaches important lessons in a fun way that toddlers can understand. Shel Silverstein has also written books of poems for kids. I am not a huge fan, but many people adore his work.
