This series of books features the common character the Cat in the Hat. The Cat in the Hat is a fun character because he is goofy and unpredictable. His sidekicks, Thing 1 and Thing 2, also add to the excitement and chaos that follows him.
My other favourites by this author are “Green Eggs and Ham,” “The Lorax,” and the “Grinch that Stole Christmas”. The Lorax has messages about the importance of preserving the environment. The movie of the Grinch that Stole Christmas is hilarious. While I usually prefer reading the book over watching the movie, in this case, I recommend the movie over the book.
